Aisling McElwain is an award winning potter based in the beautiful medieval city of Kilkenny, Ireland.
Aisling’s main range of pottery is the “Slate” range - a luxurious matt dark grey exterior with a soft teal hued interior and some with a touch of gold lustre along the rim.

In 2014 Aisling took a leap of faith and decided to follow her passion. She left her career as a GIS Technician, working with spatial data and web mapping applications, to go study ceramics in the prestigious Pottery Skills School in Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny - and loved every minute of it!
Following graduation, she moved into Kilkenny and set up her ceramics studio in the heart of the city in January 2017. Her work is inspired by geology and the texture of the clay itself. All the work is designed and made by hand by Aisling in her studio.
In 2017 Aisling was nominated by the Image Interiors Design Awards for Best Newcomer and in 2018 won the Image Interiors Design Award for Best Tableware.
